Physician's Eyewear was established in 2003 to offer our valued patients a full range of services to accommodate any lifestyle and budget.
Education is a very important part of the eyewear and lens selection process. Our licensed optician, Norman Kocmick (pronounced Cuts-Mick), is very knowledgeable in all aspects of frame and lens choices, including the latest in breakthrough technology. This is extremely beneficial when you are choosing eyewear to meet your specific visual needs.
Our Optician --Norman Kocmick
Is a Nebraska licensed optician, practicing in the optical field for the past 30+ years. He is a proud member of the Nebraska Society of Opticians and has served as a past president of this society.
Norman is also a certified contact lens fitter (NCLE) and has extensive experience with fitting and caring for contact lens patients.
Mr. Kocmick decided to work at Proffitt Eye Center because he enjoys the type of patients associated with this medical practice. He enjoys educating patients and assisting them with their choices and eyewear needs. There is a wealth of new technology available to help with patient's needs. He will spend the time necessary to explain their benefits. This will help in making more informed decisions about what is right for you, the patient.

Frames
Physician's Eyewear maintains a variety of styles to fit any budget needs from titanium frames with durability and virtual weightlessness, to frames that come with magnetic polarized sun clips. We take pride in our selections.

Lenses
Physician's Eyewear insists on only superior lenses for our patients and is pleased to offer the latest lenses available such as:
- Progressive (no-line) Bifocals (Varilux and Shamir).
- Superior Antireflective coatings (for night driving and computer use).
- Trivex plastic lenses, which are the strongest and most impact resistant lenses available.
- Polarized sunglass lenses, for the best in glare protection.
- High Index lenses (thinner) for higher strength prescriptions, and to allow for fabricating thinner lenses for high power prescriptions.
- Transition lenses, which go from light to dark, according to changing light.
Contact Lenses
We offer the best and latest in contact lenses, from gas permeable to disposable lenses, silicone hydrogel lenses that are healthier, less dry, and more comfortable, to lenses that correct astigmatism. We also offer bifocal contact
lenses for those who need help with their reading vision. If you would like to make your brown eyes blue, we can do that too. Our contact lens expert is educated in all aspects of contact lenses, and can assist even the hardest to fit patient,
